Archio is thrilled to have been shortlisted for The Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2018, in the Small Development of the Year category. Temple Gardens has been shortlisted alongside six other projects nationally and we are delighted to be part of a shortlist amongst so many admirable practices and housing designs.

The Sunday Times British Homes Awards celebrates exceptional design in all things home. Temple Gardens in Temple Cloud (Somerset) provides nine new homes arranged around an existing Grade II listed pub, alongside new overnight letting rooms. The pub sits on the edge of the village and was previously surrounded by scrubland. Our development on this rural site seeks to integrate the pub back into village life and safeguard its long-term viability through regeneration.

As a practice, we strive to make great quality housing an affordable reality for everyone. Temple Gardens won two RIBA Awards in 2018. Kyle Buchanan, Archio’s co-director, was presented with the RIBA South West Project Architect of the Year Award 2018.
